Fitness and Fun Classes

Alexandra Leifschutz is the Director of Fitness at the Regency Spa. She has developed an exciting and diverse exercise program ranging from a walk and stretch on the broadwalk to aquatics in the ocean and pool. here, you will also find belly dance, African dance, salsa and Pilates and several different styles of Yoga classes, including aqua and chair Yoga.
A master teacher, certified Yoga instructor, certified aquatics teacher and licensed personal trainer, Alexandra has designed a high tech gym at the Regency that is available to guests throughout the day and evening. The program has evolved to meet the needs of all ages, whether you are fit or have special needs.
Alexandra will teach a class called Yoga Core Wisdom: blending Pilates teachings with Yoga postures where we will examine the essential role the "core" plays in maintaining strength, balance and grace of movement in every day life. Good for all levels. She will also conduct a water workout class using resistance bands and interval training. Burn calories while having a great time moving to fun music!
Alexandra will also be co-presenting a class with speaker Dr. Paula Bromberg.

Carolina Globuz is a certified aerobics instructor and personal trainer. Her specialties are cardio kickboxing, body sculpting, aqua aerobics and spinning. She has taken numerous trainings and seminars to enhance her competitive sport and gymnastic background.
Carolina has been passionate about fitness since she was a child growing up in Argentina. She loves her work and enjoys seeing people improve their health through the benefit of exercise.

Dallas Kaye is a vibrant and energetic dancer, educator and mother, who has studied ballet, modern, jazz and West African dance and drum. A native of Jamaica, she loves the marriage of music and dance because dance, percussion and songs are woven together into a beautiful and life-strengthening experience.
Dallas is a former member of the African Caribbean Dance Theatre, the Orchesis Contemporary Dance Theatre and the Delou Africa Dance Ensemble. She teaches classes in the community, conducts African cultural outreach programs at various local elementary schools. Dallas also co-directs and choreographs for Forê Sacré Corporation and Boke Drum & Dance.
Mohamed Lamine Soumah, aka Lamine, from Guinea, West Africa is the Director of Forê Sacré Corporation. Lamine began dancing in Senegal when he was 11 years old. During his time in Senegal, he performed with Ballet Bougarabou du Senegal traveling throughout Europe, Australia and Japan.
As an accomplished percussionist and dancer, he has taught drum and dance classes in many public schools in New York and Florida. Lamine keeps a busy schedule performing, teaching, attending workshops and dance conferences. He currently resides in Miami with his wife Dallas Kaye.

Maria Ward, MS, LMT has been involved in the wellness industry for over twenty years. She is a licensed massage therapist and has studied a wide range of therapeutic techniques including medical massage, arthrossage, Thai yoga massage, manual lymphatic drainage and energy work.
Maria holds certifications as a yoga instructor, a personal trainer and an aquatic fitness instructor. She has taught fitness classes internationally and to varying fitness levels. She is a strong proponent of living well.
Maria will be teaching 2 Yoga classes: Energy Yoga Flow — Energize and detoxify in this class of flowing, basic yoga postures and stretches designed to open and strengthen back and hips while calming and centering the spirit. Good for all levels. The second Yoga class is called: Yoga: Building The Foundation — alignment, core awareness and breath are at the heart of a satisfying yoga practice and a balanced, happy life. In this class we will use key yoga postures to release the back, chest and shoulders and then put this freedom to use in a guided breath practice. Good for all levels.
Maria will also teach an aqua aerobic workout (low impact movements in the pool) ending with an aqua Yoga sequence.

Elena Yantz has over five years of experience in the fitness industry. She is licensed in Primary Group Exercise by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and as a Medical Assistant by Florida Career College.
Elena's passion for nutrition and physical fitness lead her to work as an instructor of aerobic dance, kick box and body works. Elena runs the Physicians Weight Loss Program under the supervision of the medical staff at the university medical center.
Elena's class will feature 60 minutes of constant fun with simple choreography movements and maximum energy expenditure!
